Obituary for Elsie Jane Zent

WEEMS – Elsie Jane Zent went to her heavenly home on November 24th after residing at Commonwealth Assisted Living for nearly a year. She was born in Yukon, PA on October 7, 1921 and lived in numerous places as a Navy wife until finally settling in Kansas before moving to California with her husband of 63 years. A consummate homemaker, beloved mother, gracious grandmother, and proud great-grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her daughter, Patricia, and her son, Chris. Left to remember her are her daughter, Georgia, and son-in-law Ronald Beville of Weems [with whom she lived after the death of her husband and until she moved into assisted living], six grandchildren, Dawn-Marie, Michael, Darcy, Jennifer, Lisa and Matthew, eleven great grand-children [+ one on the way], and five great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a quiet, gentle woman who always had a smile and kind word for those she met. Elsie was a member of the Catholic Church of the Visitation in Topping since moving to Virginia in 2005. She has chosen to be cremated, and a memorial service will then be held at her church. Final arrangements have not yet been announced.
