Janice Marie Vanecek, 53, of Reedville, Virginia passed away on March 9, 2013 after losing her battle with leukemia. Born on September 7, 1959 in Bay Shore, New York, she was the daughter of Frank F. Vanecek and Eleanor L. Vanecek. She is survived by her son, Devon R. Vanecek and wife, Christina; mother, Eleanor L. Vanecek; two brothers, Frank F. Vanecek, Jr. and his wife, Dolores and Brian J. Vanecek; two nieces, Amber M. Rinaldi and husband, Riccardo and Jessica R. Vanecek; two nephews, Brendon J. Glascock and Petty Officer Second Class, Dylan T. Vanecek USCG and his wife, Rachel. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Judy A. Vanecek.
Janice was passionate about helping her community, loved the water that surrounded Reedville and enjoyed her many friends, family and co-workers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice of Virginia, P. O. Box 2098, Tappahannock, VA 22560 for which the family is forever grateful to the care Janice received.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock.
