Thomas J. Nichols III, 94, of Kilmarnock, Va. passed away July 18, 2015.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Kessler Nichols and his sister, Nancy Michels.

He was survived by his daughters, Pat Marcolini and husband, Mike, of Blacksburg, Va. and Susan Harrier and husband, Doug, of Richmond, Va.; sons, Ty Nichols and wife, Paula, and John Nichols and wife, Martha both of Powhatan, Va.;a sister, Lethia Quarles of Petersburg, Va.; ten grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Mr. Nichols was born and raised in Richmond, Va. He attended the University of Virginia and Hampden Sydney College. He was an insurance engineer and an active volunteer in both the Richmond and Kilmarnock communities.

The family would like for you to join them for a celebration of life to be held at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club, 362 Club Drive, Kilmarnock, Va., Saturday, July 25, 2015 beginning with an opening prayer at 1:00 p.m.
