Irvin H. Abbott, 78, of White Stone, Virginia passed away on November 4, 2016. He was the son of the late Lee Andrew Abbott, Sr. and Elva S. George Abbott. Mr. Abbott was a Army veteran.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Peggy Abbott; sister, Carolyn Haynie of Remo; numerous loving and caring nieces and nephews and his three Chihuahua's that he adored. He was preceded in death by his sister, Elva Jacobsen and brothers, Alden, Floyd, Eldridge and Lee Abbott, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at White Stone Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, November 8 at the funeral home.
