Obituary for Harvey Young Perkinson Sr.

Harvey Young  Perkinson Sr.
Perkinson, Harvey Young, Sr. passed away on November 7, 2016. He was 83 years old, born September 17, 1933.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 56 years, Juanita M. Perkinson; two sons, Charles T "Teddy" Webb and Harvey Y. Perkinson, Jr. and his wife, Vicky L Perkinson; three grandchildren, Sarah Perkinson, Harvey Y. "Trey" Perkinson, III and Sidney Perkinson; one sister, Mary Ashley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harvey self proclaimed as "the ole coon" and his three brothers were the original founders of Tri-City Hunt Club on the Northern Neck. He was an avid deer hunter and loved to share his passion of the sport with all his friends and family.

Harvey was a retired employee of Dominion Virginia Power as a Maintenance Mechanic at North Anna and Chesterfield Power Station. He was also a lifetime member of Millwright Local 1402 in Richmond, Va.

Per his request, so he can "hear the dogs run", Harvey will be laid to rest on Friday, November 11 at 2:00 p. m. at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Alfonso, Va. with a graveside service. Family and friends are invited to a brief reception following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hunters for the Hungry in memory of Harvey Perkinson, Sr., 1108 Sedalia School Road, Big Island, VA 24526.
