Condolences

Condolence From: Jim Gallion
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was an outstanding and caring person. He was a person that you would want to emulate. I started my insurance career in Terre Haute where Bob had been the Manager. I later worked for him in the home office from 1972 to 1975.

Condolence From: Robert Ryder Gibson
Condolence: Our family lost our patriarch and hero, Robert N. Gibson of Newport News, Saturday at age 97. Uncle Bob was a Marine who served at Iwo Jima, worked decades at Life of Virginia, fathered three wonderful children, loved classical music, modeled probity for his younger brother (my Dad, Hall Gibson, 1921-2013), carried the rural Virginia twang of the Northern Neck across the country and around the world, quietly supported the Republican Party and carried more than nine decades in his heart the love of family, good food and all things Virginia. We all will miss him dearly.
