Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Lee on a significant project in Mathews. He was the epitome of a "Virginia gentleman". I admired him greatly. My sincere condolences.

Condolence: Nell, I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. I know it must be so hard especially since he was so young. My brother passed at age 58 and it was one of the hardest things I have had to deal with. May the good Lord comfort you during this time. Love Jennie

Condolence: I had two professional interests in common with Lee: Creditors' Laws and Conservation Easements. It amused us both to run into each other at events about one only to talk exclusively about the other. Lee was helpful to me any time I called him, and a Democratic woman running in rural red Virginia remembers these things with eternal gratitude. Thank you for sharing him with us all these years. I will miss him.

Condolence: Although this news has been anticipated, it still hits so very hard. Lee possessed such a truly wonderful personality and the way he lived his life was surely evidenced through the battle he waged with courage and faith. My years at the Tides Inn provided a close look at the strength he had and how he approached life.
I extend my deepest sympathy and love to Jarrett, Rob, Harry, Bob Lee, Suzy and ALL the Stephens family. His memory will live on in all our hearts.
