Howard Thomas Courtney, Jr,91, of Lancaster, Virginia passed away on February 11, 2018. He was a WWII Army veteran and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his sons, Dan Courtney (Janet) and Glenn Courtney; daughter, Jennifer Allen; brothers, Roland, Cecil and David Courtney and a sister, Mary Sue Courtney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vashti Belfield Courtney and son, Clayton Courtney.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Corrottoman Baptist Church, Ottoman, Virginia. Interment will follow the service at Corrottoman Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
