Arthur Loran Harcum, 79, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 after a long illness. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, Gunners Mate First Class, having served from 1957-1970.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marquerite Harcum; his parents, Elzie L. and Betty F. Harcum and a brother, Roy Harcum. He is survived by two sisters, Peggy Dunston of Hampton and Margaret Ambrose of Farnham; brother, Ewell Harcum "Curly" and his wife, Karen of Wicomico Church and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arthur worked for a number of years for the government at General Defense Supply in Yorktown until his retirement in 2000.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m. Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Morattico Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
