Obituary for Florida Edwards Conkle (Edwards)
Florida Elizabeth Edwards Conkle, 86, of Weems and Sandston, Virginia, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Angela Wade in Sandston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William C. and Julia D. Edwards; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and John Rice, Sr. and her husband, Richard L. Conkle, SMSGT, USAF.
Florida leaves behind a close family of siblings, William C. and Ina Edwards, Jr., Ellen E. Conkle, and Shirley E. and Harry Vermilyea. She is also survived by her children, Angela C. and Everett Wade, II, Bruce and Paula Conkle, Richard and Patsy Conkle; her treasured grandchildren, Julie (Rob), Aaron (Tonya), Mittchell, Scott, Liz, D. J. , Everett, III, Shannon, and Josh and her love of two great grandchildren, Olivia Conkle and Kaeden Elam.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Historic White Marsh Church. Interment will be private. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. John Farmer will officiate.
