Obituary for Charles Edward "Chuck" Conley

Charles Edward Conley (Chuck), formerly of Richmond, VA, died of heart failure on October 23, 2018 at the home of his brother George Allen Conley and sister-in-law Gloria. Chuck was born on October 4, 1949 in Washington, DC to Charles Luttrell Conley and Joan Harriett Dunmoyer Conley. He graduated from Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, DC in 1967 and began his education and training as a Steamfitter. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 602 until his retirement.
Chuck loved NASCAR racing and country music and enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO, for country music shows. He also enjoyed road trips across the U.S. Chuck was generous to a fault, always ready to help family and friends whenever he could.
Chuck is survived by his beloved mother, Joan Harriett Conley, his brother George Allen Conley (Gloria), his sister Joan Ann Canose, and his sister Nancy Jean Scott (Tom), as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Luttrell Conley, in January 1985 and his great-niece, Victoria Chandler, in November 2013.
Family and friends will be received at the Currie Funeral Home, 116 E. Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482, on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 12:00-1:00, with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Kilmarnock, VA.
