Nancy Lancaster Yerdon, 91, of Wicomico Church, Virginia, died on October 30, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Richard and Alma Warden Lancaster. Since 1972, Mrs. Yerdon was a devoted member of Wicomico Parish Church. She was a loving wife and mother, an avid gardener and she cherished her home “Bayberry”. A gifted pianist and vocalist, she studied at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 21 years, The Rev. Frank H. Moss, Jr. and her second husband of 34 years, Gerald G. Yerdon. Surviving are four children, Nancy McDaniel of Ridgefield, Conn., The Rev. Frank H. Moss, III and wife, Betsy of Portland, Ore., Hunter Moss of Staunton and Lang Moss and wife, Stephanie of Wardensville, W.Va.; three stepchildren, Katy S. O’Hara of Sacramento, Calif., Peter Yerdon of Cape Coral, Fla. and Steven Yerdon of Chula Vista, Calif. and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3 at Wicomico Parish Church, Wicomico.
