Condolences

Condolence From: B.H. Hubbard
Condolence: A wonderful Doctor and Person. Dr. Oltermann helped me many times. He was always fun to be with, especially in the OR where he and Donald would banter. A fairly well known evangelist once said that "Every man is indestructible, until God decides that his work on earth is done". Steve's work on earth is done. B.H. (RGH board member)

Condolence: Dr. Oltermann was such a fine person and physician. He was a tremendously kind and genuine human being. He truly served others so humbly and graciously. He was an incredibly skilled surgeon with great clinical judgement, and he cared deeply about his patients. As an oncologist who worked with him regularly, i found him to be so thoughtful, easy to consult with about mutual patients, and always so friendly, with a great, quiet sense of humor. The last time I saw him was at a retirement celebration in the cancer center, and he talked about his grandchildren with the biggest, brightest smile on his face. I am so sorry for your loss,

Condolence: A wonderful Doctor and Person. He helped me many times. We are sorry that in the end, while he healed so many others, he could not heal himself. He was always fun to be with, especially in the OR where he and Donald would banter. A fairly well known evangelist once said that "Every man is indestructible, until God decides that his work on earth is done". Steve's work on earth is done. B.H.

Condolence: I was privileged to have the opportunity to work with Dr Oltermann through the hospital. He was an excellent surgeon and a great individual. He and I loved to talk about older muscle cars and how cars have changed over the years. He helped mold both of my kids as they worked in the OR as junior volunteers. They both appreciate him and have a deep respect for him.

Our family is so sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you all.
