Dr. Frank D. Verderame, age 85 of Lancaster, VA passed away December 31, 2015 peacefully in his home of natural causes. Born in Philadelphia, PA, son of Liberato and Concetta Verderame. Preceded in death by brother John, survived by siblings, Peter (Carmela), Thomas, Philomena, and Lucy (Louis). Also survived by children Mary (Ray), John (Laura), Frank (Jeannie), Michael, Robert, Simon, Anna and Charles, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dr. Verderame held a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and was an accomplished scientist, professor, and Civil Servant. In retirement he was an avid waterman, reader, and friend. Funeral Services will be held at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, VA on January 7, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM, followed by funeral Mass and burial at St. Francis De Sales Church in Kilmarnock, VA on January 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Lancaster Public Library, P. O. Box 850, Kilmarnock, VA 22482 or to St. Francis De Sales church in his name, P. O.
