Martha Puryear "Sue"  Abrams (Puryear)
Martha "Sue" Puryear Abrams, 93, of Kilmarnock, Virginia passed away on May 31, 2017. She was born in White Station, Tennessee, daughter of the late Robert and Allie Puryear.

She was survived by her children, Larry Abrams (B. A. Johnston), Kenneth Abrams, Jr. (Paula) and Jean Eder (Larry White ); son-in-law, Frank Falkowski; five grandchildren, Leaf Steier, Tabbel Abrams, Martha Leigh Abrams (Tyler Adint), Carolynn Stiffler (Adam) and David Eder; two great grandchildren, Matthew Stiffler and Adrianna Stiffler; sister, May Puryear Ferguson; sister-in-law, Lucinda Abrams; brother-in-law, Richard Abrams and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Abrams, Sr. and her daughter, Linda Falkowski.

Sue lived in Glen Head, New York from 1961-1985 where she was a very active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

She was also very involved in the USO during the war and that's where she met her husband in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon moving to Kilmarnock, Sue was a longtime volunteer for Rappahannock General Hospital, an active member of the Women's Club of White Stone, a longtime member of Bluff Point United Methodist Church and a member of Living Water Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p. m. Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Living Water Lutheran Church. Interment will take place at The Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
