Obituary for Henry Jeremiah Dawson
Henry J. Dawson, 87, of Maryland ,formerly of Wicomico Church, Virginia passed away on September 15, 2018.He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired Iron Worker for Local5 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
He is survived by his son, Theodore Wright (Lynn)three daughters, Stacey Dawson, Carolyn Hysan(Bob) and Wanda G. Wilson (Bud); 12 grandchildren, David Dawson, Pamela Jett (Lawrence), Brandy Robinson, Wayne Robinson , Scotty Klein, Kelly Rucker, Johnny Wright (Tina), Mike Garrett, Johnny Garrett, Kim Richmond,Wanda Teeter and Steve Wright; 24 great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Bessie Mae Georgianna, Linda Madeline Alvis and Anna Ticer and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Albert Dawson and Violet Mae George Dawson; his wife, Marjorie Dawson; granddaughter, Jeanie Klein; and brothers, Benjamin L. Dawson, Clarence H. Dawson and Daniel D. Derr.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment will follow the service at Wicomico Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. Saturday, September 22, 2018.
