Obituary for Robert Carl Sunbury Sr.
Robert Carl Sunbury, Sr. of Lancaster, Virginia passed unexpectedly at his home on May 10, 2019. Bob is survived by his wife Kathy of 30 years; his mother, Corinne Ball ; sister Michelle Sera and son, Robert Sunbury, Jr. his wife Denise and grandchildren, Christina, Robbie, Jimmy and Michael Sunbury, as well as grandchildren Hope and Ashley Sunbury, Roxy Frey and great-grandchild, Roman Sunbury of his deceased son Richard. He was also pre-deceased by his brother, Herbert.
Bob spent his entire career at Hoffman-La Roche, Inc. before retiring as Senior Vice President of the Vitamin and Fine Chemical Division in 1999. Bob retired to live out his dream on the waterfront in Lancaster, Virginia where he was fond of sharing how he could garden, fish, golf and hunt almost all year round. Bob loved to share the bounties of his pursuits with family, friends and neighbors.
Memorial services will be held at Corrottoman Baptist Church, 48 Ottoman Ferry Rd, Lancaster, VA 22503 at 11:00 a. m. , Friday, May 17,2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, One St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL. 33607 in Bob’s memory.”
