Cheryl A. Evans Insko of Reedville, Va. passed away suddenly on Monday, September 2, 2013 as a result of complications of lung cancer.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p. m. Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. The Rev. Lynn Holland will be officiating. Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Cheryl was born in New York City, NY on July 9, 1944. She graduated from Northwood High School in Silver Spring, Md. and attended Montgomery County Community College. She was married to Donald Insko on August 18, 1979; they were married for 33 years.

Cheryl worked as a mortgage banker for 40 years. She enjoyed reading, bridge, travel, and being on or near the water. She was president of the Women’s Club of Northumberland County and also volunteered at the Northern Neck Free Health Clinic.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Elizabeth Allen, Richard Buscher, Jade Insko and Joi Kilby; grandchildren, Taylor and Andrew Allen, Thomas and Robert Insko and Graham Kilby.
