John Jett, 75, of Reedville, Virginia passed away May 29, 2017. He was born and raised in Reedville, VA and had lived in Hammond and Mandeville, LA for the past 32 years. He was the son of J. Frank Jett and Annette Crowther Jett.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Jett; his son-in-law, Jason Liu and his grandchildren, Nicholas and Julien Liu. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Jett and his son, Jason Jett.

He worked most of his life for Haynie Products/Zapata, though he spent the last 15 years before retiring selling boats for Hooks Marine in Hammond, LA, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

He spent the last 7 years living across the street from his daughter’s family and he took great joy in spending time with grandsons and watching them grow up.


A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 3rd from 4:00-6:00 at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock. Services will be held on Sunday, June 4th at 2:00 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Reedville, VA.
